MENS CLUB 2014

Welcome back for a new 2014 golf season

We ask every member to please be signed up @ the pro shop no later than the Sunday before.  I am asking everybody to sign up in person please do not ask the staff to sign you up.  Everyone will be playing from the BLUE TEES.

The tournaments take a long time to set-up and changes or add-ons do not help.

We understand that things come up, but please limit them.  If a change has to be made we will make the change as best as possible without interfering with the rest of the tournament.  Anybody that signs up late will be put on the waiting list, there is no guarantee you will have a spot.  The staff puts a lot of effort into these Wednesday mornings so please try to be as accommodating as possible.

We are asking everybody to be here no later than ½ hour before tee off on event days, this will make check in and tee off much smoother.  If you are not here by ¼ to tee off, any waiting list members will fill that spot.  We are sorry if this causes any inconveniences but we are dealing with a large group and we need things to run as smooth as possible.  If you do plan on being late or not showing please call the proshop at 286-7206.  Please check with your group that everyone is available to play (please do not assume), again changes are difficult at times to deal with.

We try to make it as fair as possible for everyone participating in events. We follow USGA rules and recommendations with handicaps.  I hope we are all here to compete and have fun and I apologize if anyone has ever felt slighted.  I have asked in the past for some committee members to help with guidelines, rules and different problems that come up throughout the year.  Ed Santalone, Brit Lawlor, Tom Curley and Jim Dowd will help with this.

Entry fees are going to remain the same this year at $10.00.  We are going to be taking $1.00 from every player every tournament.  This money will be put aside for an end of year skins tournament Wednesday October 1st.  In order to play in the skins tournament you must play in at least 70% of the men’s club tournaments.  Anybody that does not qualify with enough tournaments can pay $10.00 a tournament that they are short.  That money will go into the skins tournament.  We are hoping to have 20 men’s club events; in that case you will be required to play in 14 tournaments.  Please ask if you want to check on how many tournaments you have played in or how many total Men’s Club tournaments there have been.

We hope everyone has a great season

Thank you for your cooperation
