Brit Lawlor reports:

Greens Committee

The Golf Course need’s rain, it has been extremely dry and irrigation can only do so much. In spite of this the course is in very good shape. Bob is shorthanded and has his crew doing an amazing job to keep up with maintenance.

Rules Committee

The back of the 6th hole has had the OB stakes replaced.

Tournament Committee

The Presidents Cup was held on June 21st and 22nd. The winners were A-Flight Bill Hope; B-Flight John Robilotta and Ladies- Lee Redvanly.

Senior Club Championship matches are ongoing.

The Team Championship will be held July 12th and 13th. This is two man team event. Play will be 9 holes alternate shot; 9 holes better ball; 9 holes better ball and 9 holes scramble.

The Junior Club Championship will take place July 19th and 20th.

Ladies Member/Guest was held on June 24th. Angela Matus, Sally Hayes and their guests took the Low Gross category while Joanne Huml, Mary Reuther and their guests won the Low Net category.

Jim Von Eschen reports that the price for the Men’s Member/Guest (scheduled for September 26th) will be finalized soon. Gus has some great ideas for the food portion of the Member/Guest. Men’s and Ladies club is working out well; biggest Men’s club in 5 years (76 players). He suggests getting a sign saying “Members Only” for putting green; getting some kids (from Peter’s) running on the green. Also suggests cutting a walk way in the fescue between 12 and 13 so walkers can get to the fairway.

Ron Krawczyk reports that the grill room is doing fine. A lot of people are walking through the doors and hasn’t heard a golfer complain about being able to get a seat. Ken Steiger has rejoined in full and it sounds like Bobby Scalia will be back by the end of the month.

Don Stephani donates a beautiful sign for the ladies club. Also suggests that the old trophies should be displayed; possibly on shelves, in the locker room on the open wall where we took out the metal lockers.

John Daley (current member) says grill room is cool for the first time in years. Suggests that the trees behind 13th green/in front of 15th green to be removed. Britt says that he is working with Furchert, because there are several areas where trees must be removed. He continues to say that the fescue is so thick that he can’t see his own feet, let alone the ball; doesn’t believe it should be getting watered even though it is.

Ron Krawczyk requests motion to adjourn. Motion, Brit Lawlor, 2nd by Ed Santalone
