Attention Members,
Believe it or not, the warm weather is coming sooner than later; and with the Summer months coming, the fescue will be starting to grow in. It is important that we stay out of these areas with the golf carts so it can grow in as it normally does. We have seen a lot of members and their guests taking golf carts where they should not be taking them.
Going forward, we are asking everybody to please park your cart on the cart path next to all tees and greens. Additionally, we ask you to follow the cart signs that are in the fairways and the rough. These signs are put there to keep our chipping areas approaching and around the greens in great shape. In addition to motorized carts, all push carts should be kept on the cart path as well. There should be no push carts going in between the greens and bunkers and especially up on the fringe. While it may be the shortest path from green to the next tee, it is damaging our course at the same time.
The grounds crew puts in a lot of hard work to get our course in top shape, lets help keep it that way. Please make sure to fix at least two ball marks on the greens and replace our divots with the sand provided, the actual divot or a mixture of both. Finally, lets make sure to enter sand traps from the side that is the smallest and rake them on the way out.
Before I leave you, I will mention that deadlines for our first 9 & Dine is Monday, May 30th at Noon. We currently have less than 9 (twosomes) spots remaining; sign up and be apart of a great evening. The Senior Club Championship deadline is THIS TUESDAY, May 24th at Noon. You can sign up for this at the Starter’s Booth. Additionally, the Men’s Member-Guest still needs some more involvement in order for the event to take place; the deadline for this event isJune 1st. We have spoken to many people who say they plan on playing but forgot payment or information. If we don’t receive this, we will not be having this event, so get this to us ASAP if you plan on playing.
Lets have a great season!
