2019 Club Championship Recap

Ladies and Gentlemen,

As many of you know, this past weekend we held our Men’s & Ladies Club Championship; the weather was perfect and the field was full. Thank you to Chris Johnson and his staff for having the golf course in championship conditions, not just this weekend, but throughout the entire season. Additionally, thank you to Gus and his staff at Peter’s on the Green for serving Lunch on Sunday afternoon. The results of the 2019 Club Championship can be found below.

Men’s Championship Flight
Michael Auerbach sank a 6 footer on 18 to claim the Men’s Club Championship! He fired a two day total of 147 (67-80) en route to victory. Finishing one back, with a score of 148 (72-76), was Joe Dabrowski. Rounding out the top three was our 2018 Champion, Kevin Lauretti, who posted a total score of 154 (78-76).

Ladies Championship Flight
Lee Redvanly was able to stay steady over the weekend en route to her fourth consecutive Ladies Club Championship. Despite having to fight the putter on Sunday, Lee shot a two day total of 170 (85-85) in order to capture the title. Three shots back, in second place was Michele Lemoal-Gray. Michele shot a two day total of 173 (85-88). Finishing in third place was Linda O’Connell, with a score of 174 (88-86).

Men’s A-Flight
The A-Flight came down to a playoff between Brett Geiger and Mike Mislin; the two of them totaled a score of 164. In the playoff, Mike Mislin (84-80) made a par to come out successful over Brett Geiger (79-85). Ken Steiger shot a two day score of 166 to round out the top three.

Men’s B-Flight
Just like the A-Flight, our B-Flight also came down to a playoff. Sean Kelly came out on top over Tom Murray after just one hole. Sean was able to bounce back from an opening round of 93 to finish with a total of 179 (93-86). Staying consistent, Tom Murray went 89-90 to get into the playoff with Sean. Only two back of them, was Pete Craz who went 85-96 for a two day total of 181.

Men’s C-Flight
Our C-Flight saw the largest margin of victory with Pat Vetrano shooting 85-89 (174) to win by 6 shots. Second place, at 180, was Michael Diperi (89-91). Rounding out the top three, was Anthony Lodato with a total of 185 (89-96) for the championship.

Ladies A-Flight
After carding an opening round of 101, Debbie Capozzi was able to improve by 15 shots for round two. With a total score of 187 (101-86), she was able to win the Ladies A-Flight. Three shots back for the weekend, was Tara Ford who shot 190 (93-97). Rounding out the top three in the flight was Lisa White, with a score of 199 (96-103).

Once again, thank you to everybody who participated in the event over the course of the weekend. Those who won shop money, it has been added to your account. We hope to see everybody at the End of Season Ryder Cup on October 19th!!
